All Quiet on the South Eastern Front

Arrived into an unusually quiet Bangkok at 3:30 pm local time.  Short queues at the airport taxi tank and light traffic meant we were at the hotel by 5 pm.  I was at the dentist by 5:50pm and the crown that dropped off a few hours before departing NZ was glued back a few minutes later. Cost 900 baht = NZ$35. Hopefully it will last the bike ride. Korp kun krup Khun Kay and Nong Pui for arranging the appointment.

The dentist was in Sumkhuvit Soi 21 past Asok intersection which is meant to be one of the protest hot spots tomorrow but at 6 pm tonight there was no sign of action.

We caught up with Lyn from Canberra a riding buddy from the Northern ride last year on our flight and shared the taxi from the airport. More riders in the Hotel lobby including Carol Spence from Auckland. Might have to venture up to the rooftop bar before bed to see who's a gathering.....
