125 km to Chumphon Cabana Hands Ride 2014 Day 4

Its the rest day today - apt for a Sunday. Yesterday we had a taste of the rolling hills to come for the rest of the ride and everyone passed the test comfortably. Its a large group but even with some hills thrown in the time between the leaders and the last riders pulling into each stop is not great.

The captain for the day was Lyn Murphy who set a cracking pace out of each stop.

The ride has generally been cooler and windier than previous southern rides I have done and yesterday was no exception. Hills and wind….sounds like home.

A new venue for the traditional night before the rest day party started slowly but warmed up nicely with  the dance floor so packed the timber boards looked like bananas at time. Yann from Electrolux excelled as the laptop DJ.

Today has been the traditional late breakfast then wander up the road for a massage day. The local  humble massage place is as good as any I have been to in Thailand though at times there was considerable pain involved.

Followed the NZ  victory of India ODI on Cricbuzz….great end to the afternoon. Tomorrow it is back on the bikes for another 100km+ day.
