The Big Ride Day 6 Lang Suan to Surat Thani

Day 6. The longest day -124kms. A crash early on resulted in few scrapes and bruises for a couple of riders. We had 4 buckled wheels today which put a bit of pressure on the support crew. There have been numerous spills but most at low speed coming in and out of waterstops. Today's was bit more spectacular by all accounts. Another good days riding overall though.

I found myself between groups and solo riding for 15kms on some long straights before lunch but at other times enjoyed some good group riding again. We swept up to the outskirts of Surat Thani at good pace as one large group which was nice way to finish before threading our way through the traffic to our hotel. Surat Thani is the biggest town we stay in. Chinese New year so headed into town after dinner with a couple of others to some local bars but was back at the hotel and tucked up in bed before the real action started. Tomorrow the hills....
