Day 5 Northern ride 2015

Nakhon Phanom to Mukdahan 115km. A long cool windy day but with plenty of highlights.

Mixed surfaces to ride on again but with a bit more tarmac.

Before lunch we visited Wat Phanom  temple and after had a great lunch of whole salted fish and pet mak ( chilli hot) som tam (papaya salad).

After lunch a stop at fast flowing Mekong rapids then last stop before town and one of the Friendship Bridges over the Mekong that link Thailand and Laos.

Some thrills and spills today with the first 3 crashes of the ride and a bit of skin left on the road. Thoughts go out to Mark who struggled on day 4 with dehydration only to be diagnosed today with Dengue fever.....pass the insect repellant!

Make sure your keep up with that insect repellant. Love the Kiwi photo including PB's photobomb.

Happy riding on day 6

I guess everyone has to fall of a bike at some stage, just hope you all don't leave too much skin behind. Take it easy guys, and I hope Mark is OK! Go Day 6!
