Day 4 HATW Northern Ride 2015 + Rest Day

101kms  of varied riding. A mixture of
remote villages, red dirt roads, sand, gravel and stretches of bone jarring potholes along with some fast highway stretches.

The second leg was a slow 25kms of rougher roads, the last 2 legs 25kms of hot highway followed by a leisurely 10kms to the hotel beside the Mekong in Nakhon Phanom.

We watched the sun set over the town from a cruise boat that took us within touching distance of Laos then back to dinner for refreshments and later a venture into town for some live Thai folk rock.

Rest day of washing, replenishing with a great Thai massage thrown in for good measure.

Back in the saddle tomorrow...

Well done everyone ......... half way through the first ride. Looks like a good time was had in Nakhon Phanom. A good massage would be most essential. Good luck tomorrow.

may end up with two messages as first one disappeared. Well done on first leg of the first bike ride! Hope you get to chill out on your rest day and the hangover is not too bad. Keep those legs pumping AB.
