Day 1 Nong Khai to Somewhere 86 kms

Not sure exactly where but we have made it! No little daily paper maps this year and no wifi at the hotel so not able to download the GPS of today's ride to the laptop to post to the blog at this point.

We rode 86 kms today on mainly flat roads with gentle breezes though the farmlands of NE Thailand. The wrist held up ok on the smooth main roads but the bumpy secondary roads were a little painful. Hotel problems mean we have split into two hotels- outs is very basic and has no wifi.

The group are in good heart and keen right now ( 4pm) for a pre dinner beer.
