Day 5 HATW Southern Ride

Rest day finished last night with the traditional hat party.

Today the ride was 114kms from Chumphon to luang Sang. We had cool almot misty conditions in the morning through Palm oil and coconut palms, then later in the day a mix of breezy and hot conditions.

First stop of the day was at a local school.

Flattish riding in the morning gave way to a few sharper hills in the afternoon... and more of the " rolling hills " finished off with a quick run around the bays into the hotel.

Lunchtime at rustic seaside restaurant saw a few catching 40 winks.

While others had time to punish a cheeky Kiwi ( Mitch Incog).

Some stunning views along the way.

And not too shabby from the 'rustic' hotel room tonight.

Tomorrow is long hot straights into Surat Thani (145kms) before we head inland to the hills of Kao Sok National Park.
